Built wheels exist because stock e-moto wheels are usually the limit on how hard a bike can be ridden. Spokes loosen, rims dent on rock and the hub bearings follow. Specifying the wheel means the hub, rim and spoke choice match what the bike is actually doing, rather than what it left the factory expecting.
