Install: 1) Remove the old bolt and washers, catching any brake fluid. 2) Slide a new copper washer on each side of the hose fitting. 3) Finger-start the titanium bolt and make sure the threads glide smoothly. 4) Torque to 20–25 N·m (15–18 lb-ft) or follow your bike's manual. 5) Pump the lever, check for leaks, and safety-wire if you're racing.
FAQs: Use copper- or nickel-based anti-seize when installing into aluminum; do not use thread locker on titanium hardware. Replace the washers every time you remove the bolt.
